Indigenous tourism has become a rapidly increasing trend due to its potential improve the marginalised economic status and political power of people. Over last 45 years, research on grown rapidly. However, review existing study trends is limited. Thus, purpose this furnish an overview evolution scientific from 1977 2022 determine direction future research. A bibliometric approach was employed analyse 1733 samples retrieved Scopus database. VOSviewer, Harzing’s Publish or Perish, Microsoft Excel were utilised data. Thereby, highlighted current trends, prominent countries, institutions, authors in tourism. In addition, prevalent theme further also discussed. This provides complete evaluation review, which could aid others understanding development, institutional collaboration.
